I’m on a mission to beat the world toughest diseases – one lap at a time.
I’m swapping my scrubs for swimmers and taking on the Perkins Plunge as a part of “The casual pool team”.
I’ll be doing an overnight relay with an amazing group of nurses, friends and family.
As a paediatric nurse, I see first-hand how important medical research, up-to-date equipment and better treatments are for children and their families. Research can make a huge difference to the care we’re able to provide and, most importantly, gives families hope for better outcomes in the future.
We’re taking on the Perkins Plunge to raise funds for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, supporting research into serious diseases and helping researchers work towards earlier diagnosis, better treatments and improved outcomes.
So while I may not be bringing Olympic-level swimming skills to the pool, I’m very happy to don the bathers, goggles and floaties for a great cause. 🌻
If you’re able to donate, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every dollar counts and helps support medical research that can change lives. ❤️
