I’m on a mission to beat the world toughest diseases - one lap at a time.

Hi! Im emmeline. I joined this program to raise awareness for cancer especially because my dad fought cancer and even tho i was very young at that age, i didnt even like seeing him. Now growing up, i realised i treated him as a stranger because i didnt like the way he looked or what he was going through.

I believe no one should go through this especially when its a loved one. No one ever wants to hear the words, "It's cancer." Or "It's heart disease." Or "It's diabetes." And perhaps the hardest words of all: "We don't know what it is yet."

That's why I'm taking on the Perkins Plunge.

I'll be swimming through the night to raise vital funds for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, where some of WA's brightest researchers are working to better understand, treat and ultimately defeat the world's toughest diseases. Every dollar raised helps give these researchers the tools, technology and time they need to pursue life-changing discoveries that could transform the future of healthcare for all of us.
