I’m on a mission to beat the world toughest diseases – one lap at a time.

Hi I'm Aidan and for those who know me I'm an extremely mediocre swimmer. I've joined the Perkins Plunge to raise money towards the Harry Perkins Institution of Medical Research who are conducting research into some of the world's deadliest diseases like cancer.

When I was young, my dad fought and won against cancer, however he now bears the scars and other issues associated with cancer treatment for the rest of his life. For example, he can no longer donate blood, something he used to do regularly before cancer. 

There are thousands of other families just like mine who have had a family member/s who have been affected by cancer. I hope that the research conducted will help eliminate diseases like cancer and other life-threatening diseases which still exist in the world.
