I’m on a mission to beat the world toughest diseases – one lap at a time.
No one ever wants to hear the words, "It's cancer." Or "It's heart disease." Or "It's diabetes." And perhaps the hardest words of all: "We don't know what it is yet."
Watching someone you love face a serious illness is heartbreaking. It leaves you wishing there was more you could do and hoping that better treatments, answers and outcomes are just around the corner.
That's why I'm taking on the Perkins Plunge.
I'll be swimming through the night to raise vital funds for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, where some of WA's brightest researchers are working to better understand, treat and ultimately defeat the world's toughest diseases.
Every dollar raised helps give these researchers the tools, technology and time they need to pursue life-changing discoveries that could transform the future of healthcare for all of us.
If you'd like to support me, you can make a donation or, even better, join me in the pool. Together, we can give more families the chance to live healthier and longer lives.
Thank you for helping WA’s best researchers beat the world’s toughest diseases.
