Keeping their wish alive
Cancer has impacted my life more than one would hope for. I’ve watched and supported many friends and family fight for their life and also on the sideline watching, some lucky enough to hit remission straight away with no returns and some unlucky going in and out of remission over many years, unfortunately some very important loved ones my Grandad Derek, Mum Erica, Unlce Toney and my best friend Penny unfortunately lost their fight with it.They fought their cancer battle with incredible courage, strength and determination even when it was a loosing battle. They wanted to spread awareness as often as possible and knowing their prognosis wouldnt change, the possible side affects and potential of cutting their days left shorter, still wanted to be apart of trials to help make a difference in hope it could save others from having the same experience. I decided to take part in this swim to do my part in contributing my time and hopefully raise a good chunk for the foundation but mostly to honour their memory and continue their wish to help others have a better chance of beating cancer.Your Impact
