Like so many, my family has been permanently shaped by incurable diseases like cancer. I never got to meet my grandmother because of it, and that absence is something I carry with me. I am participating in the Perkins Plunge to turn that loss into action. For 12 hours overnight, I will be in the pool raising money for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.
