I’m on a mission to beat the world toughest diseases – one lap at a time.

No one wants to hear those terrible words… it’s cancer… or it’s heart disease… or diabetes or worst still – we don’t know what it is.

And no one should have to see their loved ones’ suffering..

Whether it is a loved one, family member, friend or much closer to home, when you’re faced with a serious disease, you want the most advanced treatments possible.

That’s why I am taking on the Perkins Plunge to raise vital funds for WA medical research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

I’m swimming through the night in the middle of winter to help WA’s best medical researchers. The funds I raise will support the brilliant minds at the Perkins who are committed to finding breakthroughs that will lead to breakthroughs and maybe even cures for the hardest-to-treat diseases.

WAT team 12 hour swim Sunday 8 September

Monday 2nd Sep

The WAT team is ready to swim! This Sunday 8 September at Aqualife Pool our 8 warriors will swim for 12 hours. All in the name of raising funds for Cancer Research. We have raised over $6000 so far. Awesome!!!!

Women’s Academy of Triathlon - 12 hour swim for charity

Saturday 24th Aug

The Women’s Academy of Triathlon team is going to swim for 12 hours continuously on 8 September from 6am to 6pm at Aqualife Pool.

So far, we have raised over $6000.

Helping others is the best gift you can ever give and if the money raised helps fund a cure or a breakthrough in how to treat any number of diseases that devastate so many families then that is the best outcome.

Thank you to everyone who was donated so far.

The reason we are doing on 8 September is the organisers have rescheduled the Perkins Plunge to November due to a clash at Challenge Stadium. We are still doing it in November from 6pm to 6am but have decided to also do on the original day it was originally scheduled for- 8 September.
