Finding Nemo!

No I won’t find Nemo in the pool but just like Dory I won’t give up and I’ll “Just keep swimming”!

Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming.What do we do? We swim, swim.” Because Dory knows that you should never give up!
I’m easily the slowest swimmer in our team but after 21 years swimming with my club it’s clear I don’t give up!  I don’t break any records, I just keep swimming! And it’s the best way I know how to challenge myself to keep fighting to find a cure for cancer.
So, Dory will be with me looking for shiny things each lap 😁

Winter motivation

It’s easier to stay indoors and be warm in the winter months. But anyone who knows me well knows I don’t do “warm”. The colder the better! But staying motivated is a challenge- until I remind myself why I’m doing this. I’m doing it for those who are unable to but would if they were well enough. And for those who fought and lost the battle, but won hearts ♥️
And for those waiting for research to find a cure ❤️‍🩹

I’m on a mission to beat the world toughest diseases – one lap at a time.

No one wants to hear those terrible words… it’s cancer… or it’s heart disease… or diabetes or worst still – we don’t know what it is.

And no one should have to see their loved ones’ suffering..

Whether it is a loved one, family member, friend or much closer to home, when you’re faced with a serious disease, you want the most advanced treatments possible.

That’s why I am taking on the Perkins Plunge to raise vital funds for WA medical research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

I’m swimming through the night to help WA’s best medical researchers. The funds I raise will support the brilliant minds at the Perkins who are committed to finding breakthroughs that will lead to breakthroughs and maybe even cures for the hardest-to-treat diseases.
